Our vertical strip packaging machines are an industry standard for packaging pharmaceutical tablets, caplets and capsules in unit-dose pouches. They are also used for packaging small hardware and novelty items, screws and fasteners, medical devices, and free-flowing powder products. THE PERFECT PACKAGE. A package is only as good as the protection it affords the product. And perfect protection requires perfect seals. Wrapade has developed a unique sealer surface, incorporating a precision-machined pattern of perfectly formed pyramids, thirty-two lines of them to the inch, about 120,000 on a typical 12-inch wide die roll. These pyramids mesh precisely with the ones on the opposite side, squeezing the packaging film between them to make a tight interlocking seal. Another technique developed by Wrapade is to make the cross seal before the side seals, the reverse of normal form-fill-seal procedure. By making the cross seal before the package is filled, the seal is perfectly flat, with zero wrinkles. The side seals, made between rolling "wheels," have almost no tendency to wrinkle, and the result is a virtually leak-free package. PRODUCT FEEDING SYSTEMS. Although seal integrity is of paramount importance to package quality, product feeding is the key to production speed and efficiency. Machine validation is made easy by means of our computerized monitoring systems. Extremely high seal integrity ensures perfect packages every time.
